Blackout.

Today we had a power outage… that lasted a hour and a half.

Our school does not have windows so when the lights went off, it was practically pitch black.

It was unfortunate.

My takeaway from the day: My kids will not survive if we have a real emergency. Guess we need to work on that!

     Exactly what I said the first day I went to visit my school at induction. Everyone, including our principal, speak about how our school looks, feels and sometimes is a prison.
